Is it annoying when a movie ends in a cliffhanger?

My mom really hates it when a movie ends in a cliffhanger or has some unresolved issues. I try to tell her that it's the plot that counts but she still discredits SOME of these types of movies as "stupid". Is there anyone else like that?
