How do you deactivate the alarm on a 2002 Saturn CS2? Brother is in Iraq and did not leave the remote?

at first the alarm was not activated, but then I made the mistake of locking the car using the power lock from inside which apparently activated the alarm. All I could do was close the door, lock the car and wait for the alarm to be quiet. I remember once before my brother didn't have his remote and he was able to deactivate it by pushing some ons on the power lock section or so but I have tried to no avail. Any ideas would be appreciated
